Welcome to the horror popup

It may not feel like it yet, but the witching season is fast approaching—and to celebrate we’d love you to join us for a one-week-only popup tourney of horror classics new and old. (And probably more puns than you’re prepared for.)

As with the summer bracket, the horror popup runs on your participation. In each match you’ll be able to vote for which novel you want to see advance to the next round, and the comment that earns the most upvotes in favor of one book or the other will have those upvotes added to that book’s vote tally. Except unlike over the summer, this time each round lasts just one day.

We’ll start on Oct. 27 with an opening-day bloodbath, where all 16 books pair off, leaving only eight in their wake. The next two days we’ll halve our survivors twice more before we enter the most thematically accurate Zombie Round in Tournament history. We’ll wrap up with our final match on Halloween and announce our winning title at midnight Eastern.

But before we go any further, we need you to use the form below and tell us which of our 16 horror selections you want to see in the Zombie Round. (The poll closes at midnight ET this Friday, Sept. 19.)
